Dr. Fan has extensive experience in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) with a focus on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)* research and clinical work.  He trained in both Western medicine and TCM in China and the United States.  As an acupuncturist and herbologist, he currently heads the McLean Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, PLC.  He also serves as a consultant for CAM research, with a focus on TCM, at the University of Maryland medical school's Center for Integrative Medicine in Baltimore.
