Dr. Fan has strong background in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Conventional Medicine.  He was trained in China for 8 years in a famous TCM school-Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine with MD degree and PhD degree in Chinese medicine, and Schools of Medicine in Georgetown University and University of Maryland for 4 years in America.  He worked in a University Hospital (China) as attending physician for 16 years and was an associate professor in TCM internal medicine.  He is a licensed acupuncturist in Washington DC and Virginia, and a national board (NCCAOM Certification in Oriental Medicine) certified Chinese herbologist.

He has many years experience in the clinical treatment of intractable illnesses such as infertility. infertility.

Dr. Fan also conducted Acupuncture and Chinese Herbological basic research in stroke, Parkinson D/S, migraine, asthma, arthritis and inflammation under the USA and China governments grant funding, such as from NIH and Chinese Nature Science Foundation.

He was granted several important awards and was reported by national and international media, such as Reuters Health.  As a clinical specialist in CAM and integrative medicine, he welcomes patients to visit his office in the suburban of Washington, DC (McLean, VA).
